Jack Thibault had been coaching fastpitch softball for 40 years and started playing the game at the age of 19. Thibault also had his first coaching assignment with a Babe Ruth baseball team that qualified for state. Jack had the reputation of running strong travel ball teams with his teams qualifying for post-season national competition from 1998-2015. He had been a coach and leader with the Minnesota Renegades (a premier softball organization) since 2006 and has developed strong relationships with college coaches not only in the Upper Midwest but across the country. More recently, he has been with the Minnesota Vortex and A’s program as a coach, trainer, and board member. Jack has coached players that have played for these schools: University of Minnesota, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Drake, Illinois, University of North Dakota, University of Minnesota-Duluth, Northern College, Minnesota State University, Mankato, St. Cloud State University, Saint Thomas, Gustavus Adolphus and more. Jack was the Co-Head Coach for the Orono Spartans, who had been to the High School State Tournament 2012-2014.
Jack passed away on April 14, 2021 but his legacy in TC Fastpitch and everywhere still lives on. Many of the current instructors are former players of Jack carrying on his values and philosophies.
